Urban Edge – Holiday Series Pt. 1: French Connection x Inspirafashion

Oxblood Topshop coat | Green Zara plaid shirt (similar style here) | Black Lily denim zipper skinny jeans c/o French Connection | Brown Goorin Bros. hat | Black Coach bucket bag via Saver’s | Burgundy Kenneth Cole heels (similar style here)

I’ve partnered up with French Connection on a fun holiday series to showcase three different looks I styled inspired by the holiday season.  Dressing up but also staying comfortable is important to my style.  I styled these high-waisted denim zipped skinny jeans from French Connection with a very laidback urban look: dark green plaid, an urban dark brown hat from Goorin Bros., black Coach bucket bag via Saver’s, and sleek burgundy heels.

In addition, during the holiday season the temperature drops and in the bay area, you’ll definitely need layers.  I paired this outfit with the perfect staple item, a wool coat (very warm) from TopShop.  For this shoot, I had the pleasure of working with super down to earth and amazing photographer, Melissa De Mata on this project. We shot around San Francisco at the best time, the golden hour.

When I tried on these jeans, they were very form-fitting (in the best way possible – hugged all the right places) and not to mention super comfy.  I love how there is a zipper detail on the top, black skinny jeans are a must-have in any closet, and so glad to have found this great pair. Also, I was so happy I only needed to cuff them up once (not multiple times, the usual case with so many other jeans I’ve tried on before).  This was important for me, being short (only 5’4) especially when finding jeans that fit well can be a challenge at times.

I can’t wait to share with you lovelies the second post to this three part holiday series!  Stay tuned later this week for more of these holiday looks.

xo,

Kathleen
