Ever heard of soul-searching? I really think style-searching is a real thing too. My style has drastically changed over the years. From the beginning of my blog, I remember not being able to pin-point what my true style was, or what felt the most comfortable to me. I feel like this happens with so many people — the feeling of not truly understanding what your style is…is it girly? edgy? classy? boho? Remains a mystery.
Fast forward to today, I think I finally am at a place where I found out what my style is — minimal and effortless, loving silhouettes and simple styles, but also still appreciating edgy pieces. Finding your style is a rollercoaster ride for sure and usually not a lot of people can exactly pin-point it, but what I do think is the most important factor for finding your style, is feeling confident in what you’re wearing, when you walk out the door. Then from there, everything will naturally all fall into place. Fashion is meant to be fun and experiment with trends.
Here I styled a classic minimal look with the colors grey, nude, and mauve. I paired off a grey hat with a mauve choker top. Accessorized with a marble grey bag and grey nike thea sneakers. When styling an outfit with all light colors, try to reintroduce the feature color (here, this is grey) throughout the outfit. This will make you seem taller, especially when the color is spread out from head-to-toe.
Happy Styling lovelies! <3
P.S. I hope you had an amazing three-day holiday weekend. Time flew by so fast, I still can’t believe July is here. It just makes me rethink that we should always take things slowly — and sometimes even coming from a blogger who’s always on their phone…live in the moment, and don’t take things (and more importantly moments) for granted with loved ones.
