Excited to share the cutest mugs I’ve seen from Lucy Sui. If you haven’t heard yet of Lucy Sui, they’re a luxury brand that offers sweet colorful gifts and paper products — even better, they’re a local SF-based company. They have a collection of handmade mugs and products that are each designed to complement your life –from the big day a.k.a. your wedding ;) to other cherished “small moments”. I love how everything’s personalized and cutesy, perfect for showcasing a good amount of girly-ness. I chose the striped ‘Thanks’ Mug which says”Give thanks in everything,” and the polka dot ‘Joyful’ mug which says “Be joyful always.” The gold metallic details is what drew me in, a great mix of quirky and classy. Check out more of their mugs here!
I’m super excited about this post because I got to collaborate with one of my great friends and amazing fellow fashion blogger, Joan from A Cup of Joan. If you haven’t heard of her blog yet, I definitely recommend to check it out — she has such a refreshing new twist on fashion, sharing with the world (and inspiring) how to style all clothing items cruelty-free.
We decided to style this Nasty Gal faux leather jacket in two different ways. I styled mine with edginess meets feminine with this quilted Zara skirt I recently scored on Poshmark (love finding great finds on there!) And to top it off, I paired the outfit with this insanely beautiful bag from Madison West Bags — I love how it can turn into different colors in different lighting, it has this metallic sheen and gleams with flecks of glitter.
Olive green Urban Outfitters parka | Black c/o French Connection pants | Black Freda Salvador flats | Black Urban Outfitters bag
The location of these pics goes perfectly with that one song that reminds of of 96.5, and now it is forever stuck in my head… “Sittin’ on the dock of the bay..”
For this outfit, I wanted to keep it simple and comfy for the weekend exploring the Berkeley Marina. Flats are essential and these Freda Salvador ones are so pretty with the stud details and cut-outs..who said you had to sacrifice style for comfort? Best of both worlds.
Grey Forever 21 side-slit top | Light blue c/o Charlotte Russe ripped denim jeans | Black gifted Freda Salvador booties | Black Urban Outfitters bag
I’ve found a new trend I’m addicted to — side-slits..who knew cutting the sides of shirts/tops could be cool? First it was cropped, now its side. I love how fashion changes and brings refreshing new twists.
If I had only one go-to color in my wardrobe I always gravitate toward, it would definitely be Black. As the saying goes “I’ll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color.” These moto pants are everything, I honestly think I have a new obsession with vegan leather.. this phase of going through different types of clothing happens to me quite often, and sadly as a result, it hurts my wallet :(..but its worth it/always fun ;).
Here I styled a casual and sporty outfit, that coincides with a fun fitness theme for a Blogger Style Challenge link-up with my fellow lovely Poshmark gals. Check out more of how we wear this sporty trend (and each of these ladies’ amazing blogs!) below.
I’ve been living in comfy cozy sweaters all winter and this is one of my faves, the right amount of slouchiness. Paired it off with some mid-rise black jeans and peep-toe booties for a casual weekend look.

Slowly but surely I find myself gravitating toward the more simple and minimal silhouettes and outfits. My style feels so comfortable and right styling my looks around the minimal concept of fashion. It took me ages to figure it out haha, but that’s what fashion is about, finding your way through it all and knowing what style portrays your personality best.
Off topic and exciting, Fevrie is giving Inspirafashion readers an exclusive 25% discount code off their site, valid up until 2/28. Enter “kathleencarla” at checkout. Happy shopping lovelies!

I’ve teamed up with Chictopia Connect to bring you this fun blog post. Chictopia Connect is a great website where sponsors can use as a tool to find bloggers who they can collaborate with, in addition it’s a place vice versa where bloggers can go to reach sponsors. I can personally attest that working with this platform has helped so much and is very useful in terms of blogging and connecting with sponsors.
For this post I collaborated with them to share something new I’d like to do for the new year. Recently I moved to San Jose and haven’t really ventured out. I decided to visit the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose with my boyfriend. Not only did the exhibits within the museum blow me away, but also the outside area, which had such beautiful architecture and landscapes. If you guys haven’t been, I’d definitely recommend! It was a great fresh start to do something fun for the new year :).
